    Unless it's necessary for their core functionality, add-ons are not allowed to change or append data to the User Agent string.

    Changing network preferences can cause subtle browsing bugs as well as problems with certain servers and ISP's. This is generally not allowed.



    Its quite preposterous that Mozilla are being to tight about this. I see, and slightly understand, the attempts at making things "more secure". But come on, there are loads of add-ons around that change these agent strings (and obviously more with GUI:C and CM).
